[Current Music |Jewel - Standing Still]

I cut my bangs. I think they look good. They're parted to the side so they kidna hang in my face and they slant down from about my nose to my jawline. They frame my face well. I have a busy day tomorrow. Wake up about 11:00, got practice at 12:00 till about 4 or 5 when we're all gonna go bowling. Then after that I think we're gonna go the the empty chair concert in winchester. You should all go, it'll be fun. It's at Farmer's Pavilion and the doors open at 6 but they don't play till about midnight.
I feel like such a rocker. Don't ask me why. Must be the hair.
Time is drawing near and I don't think we're going to be ready for the concert, but I'll stay optimistic and tell everyone that we'll be ready. We're having practices every other day now that we're on break. Probably not enough but since we have to have the practices over here, mom wouldn't let me have the band over every day.
Yard sale this weekend, maybe. If we do get it together and have it this weekend it'll be at Jordyn's grandmother's house.
Well, Jess's on. Gotta talk to him.

Stasis rocks...

Yeah...it's been a while -.-'. Lol, sorry for not posting in so long but I've been very busy...<.<...not really a good reason, but oh well. I'be been really busy with the band. I think we may have finally found a stable drummer...for now. *knock on wood* We went and recorded a really short demo. Only one song that soundedgood in the studio, but wasn't mixed down wellat all. All you can hear is the bass and vocals and everything's way too hot. We're supposed to be going in and recording again withmore songs, but right now we're more focused on up-coming gigs so I guess we'll worry about that later. Well I have to go now. I'll keep you guys posted...if anyone cares that is. :P

Yay for Jet Lag! [Aug. 15th, 2004|02:06 am]
[Current Mood |emo]
[Current Music |Ender - Finch]

w00t! Jet Lag is fin. It's cool too... Heh. I'm sitting here at 2:51 talkin to Jordyn while listening to the postal service... Ash passed out a while ago so we're workin on songs. We had practice today. Piper came and we found out that not only can she not play, but she also lied about having a "Great memory" After she left (which was about an hour and a half after we started..) We pretty much decided she wasn't gonna be in the band. After that, my dad (also our manager) spoke to us about going to Hunstville to record a demo. He knows this guy who owns a recording studio there. He says if we raise money we can record three or four tracks and get a real studio recording. It's a bit odd. It seems like just a little while ago we were just getting started...now we have gig offerings and this. But it's exciting at the same time. We already have almost a cd's worth of songs. We're working on the percentages o how much this'll cost us right now. We think we should have enough. Plus, I'm sure my dad'll help *knock on wood*

Heh. Now Jordyn and I are watching some video about Drive-thru records. So I'm gonna go watch my Finch hottie perform live.

Heh... I hope Stasis did well at their concert with Finch! Yay for Stasis!

[Current Music |Mother Earth - Within Temptation]

Hey everyone. Haven't posted in a couple of days. I've been so stinkin busy lately. Not that that's a bad thing... It's better then how I was before..never busy. Practice saturday. Everyone can come. Jordyn wants to bring Piper. I don't have a problem with Piper I just though Jordyn did...plus she can't play guitar. Jordyn's teaching her. She better be a really fast learner, lol. I dunno, I haven't heard her play before and some people just have a nack for these things. I don't mind her comming over or anything, but saturday was supposed to be our 'writing day'. We might not get too much writing done with her over. But she might not even come. Like I said before, I don't really see the point in her comming to practice and now knowing how to play anything...but I dunno. I guess I'll see how things go when they happen. Hopefully it'll go well. It's not like we're inviting her into the band. Just to practice. But anyways. Ash and I started writing a song in the middle of science class today. Lol. It's called "Jet Li Kung-Fu"...heh. Damaged Goods has to many serious songs ^.^ therefor...now we have a funny one...but anyways...<.<

Man...I watched "Darkness Falls" last night...that is the ONLY movie on the face of this planet that can scare me... Dunno why... Just cause I was already creeped out at the thought of the toothfairy comming into my room while I was asleep when I was young and believed in that. Guess it had a lasting effect because after that movie last night there was not one light off in my house. When I actually went to sleep I had to listen to music, turn the light off as quickly as I could and run and jump on my bed. It's just creepy...

So just for your...whatever...I'll give you the new Damaged Goods track listing. (This is only for now. More songs will be added once we finish writing them. lol)

2)Shame on me
3)Unbelievable (EMF cover)
4)Chewing gum and a dream
5)All I mold my life around
6)Jet Lag
7)Falling Away
8)Jet Li Kung-Fu

And there you have it. There are other songs we're in the process of writing and/or covering but we're still not sure about those so I left them off.

Well anyways, gotta go. Leave a post Rai will Karate chop your eye with her Jet Li Kung-Fu!

Nightwish...and, of course, a little thrown in Stasis [Aug. 9th, 2004|10:08 pm]
[Current Mood |boredbored]
[Current Music |Nightwish - "Oceanborn" CD]

Might I take this time to give recognition to one of the awesomeest bands ever... Ladies and gentlemen... I give you nightwish. They're this band from Holland...the best way to describe them is 'heavy/hard rock/classical/opera'...yeah... opera. But it's cool. The chick sounds like an opera singer when she sings. If any of you have ever seen "The Fith Element" (one of the best movies ever...its right up there with Hackers and the Austin Powers trilogy), she sounds like the Blue chick. But the music is really rock-ey. It's awesome. If you have a love for 'original' sounding music you'd love them. Pretty much any Lacuna Coil fan would like them. That's who they sound the most like, I guess. But anyway, check them out.

www.myspace.com/stasisrock - Don't forget to check out Stasis if you haven't already. Awesome band.

Another weekend of not practicing has gone by. Hopefully we'll be able to this weekend *knock on wood*.

Heh. Found some interesting pictures today. Four, to be exact, from the fair in my 9th grade year. Heh, Bisby probably knows of these photos I'm speaking of...

The first picture is of Ash, Michael and Bisby on a ride. The spin-ey one where you go up and down randomly in circles...it's round...and red...one of the many that I didn't ride. The whole night we four hung out.

The second picture was another one taken on that ride. Ash was makin a funny face. I remember taking that picture cause Ash kept trying to say something to me but I couldn't understand her. Probably something like "This is so much fun!"

The third was a pic Ash took of Bisby and Michael holding me up at each side of me, and me with a random laugh/smile on my face. I remember laughing when Ash took the picture because I was falling on Michael's side. He took a step back and lost his balance or something.

And the Grand Finale! The fourth picture, which was taken in Wal-Mart. This picture shows a very interesting side of our little Bisby. We'll...I suppose we were all bored so we decided to dress up like the opposite sex. Heh, needless to say only one of us actually went through with it. That was Bisby. I took him to the little girl's section and picked him out some pink cloth caprie's, a purple frilly mid-riff shirt, and a white hat with a pink ribbon wrapped around it. And he *reluctantly* put it on. He had a little trouble getting into it, but when he finally came out we all busted out laughing as he struck a few poses. I was on the ground laughing as hard as humanly possible. Michael was leaning against the wall, also laughing as hard as humanly possible. And as Ash started to laugh just as hard as the rest of us she grabbed the camera and took a picture of one of his poses. You can tell how hard she was laughing because the picture was way out of focus, but it didn't matter.

I would post the picture, but for Bisby's sake, I think I'll just keep it to myself. Some things are better left unseen...

Yesterday, a day of suprises... [Aug. 1st, 2004|01:58 pm]
[Current Mood |excitedexcited]
[Current Music |Rediculous thoughts - The Cranberries]

Hey everyone. Yesterday was pretty cool. I was bummed that we couldn't have practice, but I did get to go to my cousin's third birthday party. While I was there I found out that my youth minister's daughter was friends with my cousin and I kinda got a kick out of that. After the party my grandmother took me to Cato and bought me a pair of jeans which look awesome. Nothing too special, just light colored semi-tight jeans. They look good on me though. Then she dropped me off at Wal-mart where I met up with my dad and he gave me 40 dollars to spend (35 from a check my aunt and uncle gave me and 5 from chores around the house). I bought three cds, one of which I'm listening to right now. I Bought The best of The Cure, The best of The Cranberries (the one im listening to now), and the new Modest Mouse cd (I'm in love with the song "Ocean breathes salty"). After that I went back and found my dad. I also found out that he was getting tires changed and the wait would be really long so I went back and walked around, finally going to the cd section again. When I was there I found the new Yeah Yeah Yeah's cd. I had heard that it was their sell-out album so I checked it out juts to make sure. I had been a Yeah Yeah Yeahs fan for a while and had heard earlier songs form the band and loved it. I checked it out and to my suprise it rocked. The only one even close to a sell-out song was "Maps" which I love. I was happy. But I was also broke and the three cds I had bought were in the car that was about to be worked on. "Oh well." I figured. "At least I like the cds I got." I then picked up the Breaking Benjamin cd. I had liked the song "So cold" that I heard on the radio form them, but I assumed they were an okay-but-not-so-cool-screamy-disturbed-korn-like-band. I decided to play that cd and was suprised once again because, it too, was awesome. I would highly advise any rock fan to pick it up. They're pretty cool. I decided to look around, once more, for anything form Death Cab for Cutie, figuring I'd find something since I had ALREADY spent all of my money. No luck. I was bummed but happy at the same time. It would have sucked majorly if I had found something form them after all that looking before. But then I hit the G's and found something I NEVER see at wal-mart. Dizzy up the girl from The Goo-Goo Dolls. One of the best cd's from one of the best band's of all time in my opinion. THEN I was officailly bummed. I figured I'd never see it again after that day so I listened to the samples of the songs over and over and sang along to them, enjoying it while I could. heh. But I really can't complain, I do have three new awesome cds. I REALLY love my Cranberries cd. It has all the best ones, including my faveorite, Zombie.

When I got home I got on my computer for about 20 minutes then ate, and left off for the "Empty Chair" concert. Empty Chair played, Ash and I at the front of the stage the entire time, being star-strucked by Ben continuously walking up right in front of us while playing his bass and looking straight at us, and or smiling. We felt so cool. The concert rocked. One of the best yet. After Empty Chair played, we went outside for an intermission and found that most of Ash's Empty Chair necklaces we're sold. Once again we were happy. We got something to drink and went back to the concert right when the headliner came on. A white rapper Called "Jayjee." And once again I was suprised... He wasn't that bad. I actually enjoyed it. He was pretty good, but what really blew my mind was this chick named Lindsy that was singing with him. She had an amazing voice. And she was an alto so that just added to it. After the concert I got a V.I.P. pass and hung out with the band while they signed T-shirts and hands and stuff. Then I went to the afterparty and hung out with mostly Ash, Ben, Cory, Daisy and Matt Brock. The party was alright but the real fun started when we all went out in the hall and blasted Thousand Foot Krutch. I'm not a big TFK fan, but after non-stop rap and R&B music I was happy to hear something I could band my head to and sing along with.

So yeah...leave a comment because I left lots of things to comment on.

[Current Music |Girlscout - Jack Off Jill]

Hey. Sorry, it's kind of been forever since I last posted. I got my own computer set up. No practice tomorrow. It'll be Sunday after church. A friend is making "Damaged Goods" shirts. I'm so excited.

Talked to Jesse the other day and we had a challenge to see which one of us were more "emo". Heh, I don't think either of us won. After randomly taking really stupid emo quizzes for a little while, we just decided to play "20 emo questions". I had to explain the game to Jess cause he's never heard of "20 questions".

Michael's probably gonna come over and take some more pictures of us practicing. Fun. We still have to re-record the drum and the guitar track, record the bass track and record the backup vocals on "Overrated." I'm sure we'll do that at practice.

And Juju has decided to be our crazy-stalker fan! Yay!

P.S. Leave a comment if you love Damaged Goods!
*waits patiently for someone to comment...*

Dorky Best friend... [Jul. 26th, 2004|11:53 am]
[Current Mood |dorkydorky]
[Current Music |Unbelievable - Damaged Goods (EMF cover)]

Ya know what I need? A dorky guy best friend. I went to see a Cinderella story last night. Although I didn't want to see it at all, (I tried to get everyone to see Catwoman but Brandy wanted to see Cinderella story so thats what we went to see) it was all worth it! You see, in these movies, I never really like the jockey short haired way-too-tall guys that the chicks always go for. I seem to be more atracted to the "dorky best friend" kind of guy. You see, in "A Cinderella Story", the dorky best friend saved the movie for me. If any of you have ever seen the new Remake of "'Salem's Lot", which plays on TNT a lot, then you'll know who "Mark Petrie" is. The kid in school with the brown curly hair thats really cute. I love him. He was Hilary Duff's dorky best friend. I would have taken him over the other guy any day! And not just because I already liked him. I love movies where the girl ends up with the best friend.

Therefor, I say, I need a dorky best friend... But my best friend is a girl. This is a problem. So, Ash, I'm sorry, It's been a good run, but you're as of now, fired. I'm now hiring new best friends! You must be dorky and a guy!
